Enjoy an Alpaca walking experience with a difference; breathtaking views of Carsington Water and the 400 acres of countryside on Owslow Farm, Carsington.  We also have lamas, and as part of the rural picturesque walk in the Peak District our knowledgeable guide will provide information about both of these fascinating inquisitive creatures.  There will be plenty of time for taking those all important selfies and for asking questions.  You will also have the opportunity to spend time with the alpacas in their paddock and feed them some yummy vegetable treats. 

• Children will be delighted with the souvenir pack they receive at the end of the walk!!

Once your walk is finished, be sure to treat yourself to a little memento of your special experience and order one of our alpaca t-shirts, sweatshirts or hoodies (these can be personalised).

A bit about us:- 

Our organic cattle and sheep farm has been in the family for generations and for winter 2019 we decided to include some new additions - our ten males alpacas. All are halter trained, love a walk and social interaction - which allows their unique personalities to be shared with the public. They age from 2-7 years, and are all different in colour. They are very inquisitive and friendly, making them great selfie partners! 

As we operate a working farm, please bear in mind when you visit us, we may be walking through fields with sheep and cows and on some occasions, our routes and/or days of business may need to change, for both public safety and smooth running of our farming practices.

The experience usually lasts about 75 minutes, after which (Mar-Oct) you can enjoy Simply Grazing boards and/or Afternoon Teas overlooking Carsington Water; dome and food to be booked and preordered 1 week prior to experience.  Please see our Waters View Dome & Garden experience.
