Highlights
A fantastic introduction to improvised rafting on the River Derwent at Darley Abbey ideal for those who have never tried building their own raft before. Improvised rafting sessions are great if you are looking for a fun day out whilst under the supervision of qualified instructors. Your instructor will equip you with safety equipment such as buoyancy aid, helmet and paddle. All you have to do is design and build a vessel to transport you and your group. Once you have built your craft you will receive a safety talk and then you will soon be on the water (or in it), practicing paddling in a straight line, turning and stopping.
