River Derwent Canoe Trip - Peak District

  • Location Matlock
  • Price from £52.20

Highlights

An awesome 4 mile canoe trip experience down the lovely River Derwent from Darley Bridge to Matlock Bath in the Peak District. Suitable for teenagers to adults with good co-ordination required to get control of the canoes quickly on moving water.
After a thorough safety briefing we begin our descent of the river, practising some canoe skills at the start in order to negotiate moving water, rapids, under bridges and avoid those rocks!! Its 2 people per canoe - max group size 5 people. If an odd numbered group then one person will be in front of the instructors canoe. Minimum age 13 with parent. Hopefully a relatively dry trip, but capsizes do happen!!
Do arrive early for the afternoon session as parking at weekends school holidays gets very busy!!
This activity experience is subject to appropriate water levels being available.

Discounts apply for 3 or more people booking!!

Alternative dates available for groups of 4. Why not try our underground lead mine adventure or abseiling as well??
NOTE - Others may be on this trip making a group size maximum of 5 people.
